My SO told me these stories:

He was getting onto the turnpike and the car in front of him had sheets of plywood on it being held in place by the driver's and passenger's *hands*. He knew it meant trouble so he stayed away. Sure enough, as they started to pick up speed, the plywood started to peel off like a deck of cards. Up comes a guy on a bike! The guy weaved in and out and missed every sheet! My SO couldn't believe it. What manuvering! A few miles later he comes up on the motorcycle parked on the side of the rode. The guy is puking his guts out. Reality just sank in.

He had a friend that was driving down the turnpike and hit a guy on a tricycle. The guy on the tricycle was drunk but wanted to go buy more beer. So he took his kids tricycle to get across the interstate. Got over the median and saw an 18 wheeler bearing down on him and the motorcycle. I guess he made the best choice, the motorcycle. He was in the hospital for a bit but survived. If he had chosen the 18 wheeler, he wouldn't have. I'm still surprised he did with the bike! The mc driver was uninjured. I wonder if the guy on the tricycle lost his "bike" license for driving drunk.
